IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Betty
Barnhart
October 21, 1932 – October 25, 2024
Betty Barnhart of Chino Valley, Arizona passed peacefully in her home on Friday, October 25, 2024, surrounded by angels and loved ones. Betty celebrated 92 years of life.
Betty was a lifetime and faithful member of the Church of Christ. She demonstrated her love of God throughout her daily life.
Her hobbies included baking, decorating cakes, painting, acting, singing, playing music, and enjoying nature and life in general. Betty was loved by everyone who knew her. She often shared her knowledge of her many interests with people of all ages; especially with children. She loved all the children.
Betty retired as an administrative secretary to the operations manager of the Bagdad mine. Whenever Betty was out and about in the mine, she could be spotted wearing her pink hard hat.
Long before recycling became common in homes and businesses, Betty implemented a mandatory, successful recycling program within the mine. The proceeds received from the program made it possible to construct an oil change pit for the townsite. Funding generated from the recycled oil was designated to various projects that, to this day, beautify the town of Bagdad.
Betty is survived by her 3 children: Ralph, Evelyn, and Jocelyn. Included are four grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and four, or more, great-great-grandchildren. There are numerous nieces, nephews, and all of their families. Imagine what every family member could share about the grace and loving devotion of Betty.
Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband of nearly 65 years. Her siblings, a grandson, and a great-great-granddaughter also preceded her death.
Join us for Betty's life celebration on November 16, 2024, at the Mt. Vernon Church of Christ at 10:30 AM. Betty's body will be interred with her loving husband at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix.
In honor of her memory, the family requests that those who desire, please donate in memory of Betty Barnhart, to Sacred Selections ( www.sacredselections.org ). This is an organization that assists with the adoption of children into Christian homes.
The family wants to thank everyone for loving Betty throughout her life. Betty wanted everyone to know she "really enjoyed it!"
