It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Bruce David Anderson on Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at the age of 86 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Born in Denver, Colorado, Bruce served as a member of the United States Navy and in the Korean War. An Electronics Engineer by profession, he was known as a computer wizard in Lake Havasu, serving the community as Owner of Anderson Engineering for over 25 years. An Affiliate of the Lake Havasu Association of Realtors he was given the Outstanding Affiliate Award by them in 2012. He designed the first "Free Press" Printing Plant in Tirana, Albania in 1991 and was awarded the Naim-Frasheri award by the President of Albania in recognition of his work. This award, also given to Mother Teresa of Calcutta, was the highest Order of Merit award given in the country.
In his personal life, he filled the house with wisdom and love. He was a lover of music - everything from opera to Neil Diamond. He never met a dog he didn't like, and gave his children a love of nature, animals, cooking and boating. Although a man of logic and science he was also a pianist, painter, singer, dancer, and costume designer as well as a man of strong faith. His deep self-awareness made it possible for him to meld logic, art, and faith with ease and grace. He will be remembered for his clear-headed thinking, his passion for life, and his ability to design with precision and inventiveness.
He is survived by his three children, Marion Renee Miller, Christine Marie Resnick, and David Wendell Anderson; his grandchildren, Judd Miller; Patrick, Mariah, and Jackson Anderson; Bailey and Campbell Lee Resnick; his great-grandson Samuel Wisner; his son by choice, Cleo Carter; and his beloved, Sherry Smith.
A memorial service will be held at The Lake Havasu Association of Realtors, 2293 Swanson Ave., LHC, on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 3:00 pm with a reception following.
