Obituary

David "Rico" Otero (GODSMANDAVID) Born July 31, 1955 in Santa Ana, CA - Died January 29, 2019 in Dolan Springs, AZ Survived by his loving family including his children: Christina Otero, Melissa Magdaleno and David Otero, Jr. David was a great man who was and still is loved by many. He was a businessman and entrepreneur always full of ideas and ways to make Money. David was a hard worker and a jack of all trades who was able to MacGyver his way out of any problem that would arise. He was also a very talented musician whose love for music was evident. David loved the lord with all his heart, he was a dedicated man of God and a strong prayer warrior. He cherished quality time spent with family and friends. He loved barbecuing, and of course his burning hot chili. If we had one tamale left you better believe we are breaking bread and everyone is getting a taste of that tamale. One thing about David is, he always had more than one plan in case one didn't work, he could move on to the next. David was full of determination. David was a strong fighter and there was no such thing as Quitting! He would always say "A Quitter never Wins and a Winner never Quits". At the very end of his life he would say "I'm going out swinging the bat!" and he did just that. David was all about Preparation and Strategies, those were a must! In life no matter what David did, he gave it his all and we are sure going to miss his voice, his love, his laughter, his humor, and his presence! However, there is peace knowing the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:8 "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord". We will forever cherish all the great memories we have and hold them close in our hearts until we meet again. "Keep swinging the bat"! Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at The Otero Ranch-Dolan Springs on Saturday, April 27, 2019
