Dorothy Frieda (Gierman) Whitlock, 88, died peacefully at her home in Kingman, AZ. surrounded by loved ones at 8:45 AM on Friday, June 4th, 2021. She was born on October 22nd, 1932 in Buffalo NY to Floyd and Rose Gierman. She married the love of her life, George "Don" Whitlock on October 11, 1952 and they cherished 51 years of marriage together before he preceded her in death in 2003. Dorothy and Don had four children: Deborah Wilson (who preceded her in death in 2017), Linda (Dennis) Therkildsen, George (Elizabeth) Whitlock and David (Rebecca) Whitlock, seven grandchildren: John (Elisa) Curtis, Valerie Garcia, James (Megan) Whitlock, David Whitlock, Ashley Whitlock, Robert (Amber) Whitlock and Lauryn (William) Heath and six great-grandchildren: Kelley, Torrie, Emily, Adison, George and Lily. She also had one sister, RoseMarie Mularski, who preceded her in death. Prior to moving to Kingman, Dorothy lived in Hemet CA where she volunteered as a grief counselor for children. Prior to that she lived in Valinda, CA where she worked for 20 years in Customer Service for Sears and volunteered at the local Sheriff's Department. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who affectingly called her "GG". The funeral and internment will take place at Riverside National Cemetery in California where she will once again be united with her beloved Don. Service will be on Friday July 16th at 9:30 AM.
