Celebrating the Life of Stella Orr

March 2, 1927 – October 28, 2025

Stella Orr, 98, passed away peacefully on October 28th, 2025.  She was born on March 2, 1927, in Laguna Beach, California, a place that shaped much of her early life.

Her father operated the first filling station in Laguna Beach—a point of family pride and a reflection of the entrepreneurial spirit Stella carried throughout her life.

Growing up on the coast, Stella admired the wide-open spaces of the West and dreamed of being a cowgirl.

That dream took a meaningful turn while at Orme Ranch and met Jim Orr.

Their meeting sparked a love that carried them through decades of marriage, hard work, and adventure.

Together, Stella and Jim embraced the western lifestyle—ranching, camping across the deserts and mountains of Arizona.

Stella is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Carla, and her grandchildren, Jake and Jessie, and 5 great grandchildren.

She leaves behind cherished memories of campfires, stories, and the steady love she offered her family.

Her legacy lives on in the love of her family and the countless lives touched by her warmth and unshakable spirit.

She has joined her love Jim again in heaven to ride again in the wide-open spaces.
