Gerald F. Engelman, age 79, passed peacefully in his Lake Havasu City, AZ home on March 13, 2021.
Jerry was born in Neenah, WI, and attended Menasha High School before enlisting in the US Army. He
was stationed in Korea and earned recognition as a sharpshooter, in 1961 he returned to civilian life.
Seeking adventure, Jerry then moved to Ketchikan, Alaska in 1968. He worked at the Ketchikan Pulp
Company for 10 years and then began a new pursuit with the purchase of Clover Pass Resort, where his
passion for fishing and guiding others created life long memories for family, friends, and travelers from
around the world. During those years he often hunted, spent time at the Rod and Gun Club, and actively
participated in the small community that supported each other in times of need.
In 1997 Jerry moved to Lake Havasu City and enjoyed some well-earned fun in the sun. He found many
new hobbies to explore including kayaking & golfing. He was always keeping busy with travel, any
number of projects, and tending to his family of rabbits. He became fast friends with many people and
especially liked to cook, entertain, bake pies, watch his favorite teams - the Packers and Suns, or get
together for trips and excursions. Jerry came to love his neighbors and friends of Lake Havasu City and
it's not hard to understand why. Our family extends our deepest gratitude to those that loved him as we
did and offered help and kindness throughout his life. They continue to show us support as we mourn
his passing and lift our hearts with stories of their time with him.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Joyce (Grant) Engelman, two sisters, Candyce
Engelman and Tena Engelman.
He is survived by his children:

which Jerry supported faithfully. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Until then, keep your
tips up, your lines tight, and fish on!
