Geraldine (Geri) Rose Sweet (Palmer), 88, passed away peacefully in her home Friday, 2/1/19 after a short battle with cancer.
Geri was born to Harry A. and Helen I. Palmer (Yeager) on 9/12/30 in New Brighton, PA. The family moved to Azusa, CA where Geri graduated from high school.
Geri met her beloved husband, Thrall D Sweet, late 1951 and they were married a quick three months later. They provided wonderful childhoods to their two loving children, son Thrall A. Sweet and daughter, Kim Sweet.
Together, Geri and Thrall owned and operated Impala Fence Co in Orange County, CA very successfully for over 28 years.
In 1985, Geri and Thrall retired to Lake Havasu City. They chose Lake Havasu after spending many holidays and vacations at the river with their family and river rat friends. Once in Havasu, they spent many happy years playing golf, boating, traveling in their motor home, dancing at the Elks lodge and having fun with their many friends.
Geri was a special grandmother to her beloved gransons, Eric and Troy Sweet. In 2016 she was blessed with great-grandaughter Hazel Rose Sweet whom she adored.
Geri was preceded in death by her loving husband Thrall Sweet, parents, Harry Palmer and Helen Whitson , and sister Reva Smith.
Geri is survived by her beloved son, Thrall Sweet, daughter, Kim Sweet, grandsons Eric and Troy (Ciera) Sweet, great-grandaughter Hazel Rose Sweet, sisters Violet Henderson and Lucy Mortland, many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly and they loved her in return.
Per Geri's request, there will be no services. Cremation is being handled by Mohave Memorial Funeral and Cremation Services.
