Helen Ruth France, 76, passed away on August 13, 2019 in Kingman, Arizona. She was born March 31, 1943 to Clifford and Edna Self in Stigler, Oklahoma.
Helen was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She absolutely adored her children and grandchildren dearly. She was a waitress for 35 years. Her gift in life was her ability to listen and always took the time to listen. She loved her family and would always help them in any way possible. Helen was an amazing cook; she loved the coast and mountains as a past time. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughters, Shelly Blackford and Debra Effinger; son, Gregory Effinger; granddaughter, Kimberley Hays; brothers, William Self, Jackie Self, Carl Self and David Self all of Oklahoma; sister, Janet Carroll of Kingman, Arizona; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and her significant other of 11 years, William Archer. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Edna Self; husband, Steven France; brother, Darel Self; grandparents William and Angie Wilson along with Lee and Alta Self.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at 2pm at Faith Community church in Whitefield, Oklahoma with an immediate burial following services at Mountain Home Cemetery on Beaver Mountain in Stigler, Oklahoma.
