Herbert LeRoy Keeling was born to George Herbert Keeling and Ursula (Sue) Harvey Kaylor on July 9, 1940 in New York, New York. He died peacefully in his sleep in Chino Valley on September 23, 2025 and is now at home with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
After serving his country in the U.S. Navy, he enjoyed a long and successful career with IBM before retiring. During his retirement years he worked at the Antelope Hills Golf Course. Known for his "Midas Touch," Herb's cheerful attitude, quick wit and outgoing personality endeared him to everyone he met. His family and friends will forever remember his laughter, wisdom and generosity.
Throughout his life, Herb loved to golf, play poker and spend time with family. His poker buddies will testify, “Herb went out a Winner!”
Herb is survived by his beloved wife, Janis; his children, Randy Keeling, Shannon Martin, Rick Keeling (Michelle), and Christian Keeling (Renee); 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren with another one on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Heather Young.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Prescott Centennial Center at 1:00 on December 13, 2025. The family would love to hear your favorite stories or memories of Herb at the Celebration.
