Janan Holmes of 1888 Radcliff Dr., Carson City, NV died at 12:34am on Monday, December 23, 2024. She died at the Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center after four days of Hospice Care. Her death was a result of a recent fall she experienced that developed into an aortic-intramural-hematoma (IMH). A Rosary in Janan's honor followed by a Mass and services at the cemetery will be held at St. Margaret Mary's Catholic Church in Bullhead City, AZ on Friday, January 24, 2025 at 10:30am (Arizona, mountain time).

Janan Theresa White was born September 26, 1934 at the Los Angeles, CA White Memorial Hospital. She was the second child born to David and Mary White. Her siblings were brother David, sister Jacqueline, and twin brothers Timy and Tony. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School, El Sereno, CA in 1952. She met Thomas Doyle Holmes during his tour-of-duty serving in the Navy in Long Beach, CA. They married on January 16, 1954 at All Saints Catholic Church in El Sereno, CA. Janan and Tom raised four children: Thomas, Rodney, Patricia, and Tommy. After Tom retired from the Los Angeles Fire Department they moved to Bullhead City, AZ in 1986. Along with thoroughly enjoying their retirement together to include boating, camping, and traveling they also established a Bullhead City community service by opening a business that provided carpet cleaning/repair and  janitorial expertise. Janan also was very active in buying and improving properties in the area where she thrived on helping those who rented or wished to buy her properties. After 51 years of marriage with Tom, who died in June of 2005, she traveled the United States and overseas for two years. While vacationing in Las Vegas, NV she met Walter Seebach. They very much enjoyed sightseeing, exploring, and being together and were married in December 2007 in Bullhead City, AZ. Janan and Walter moved to San Jose, CA that was Walter's home town. He was a retired Santa Clara county Civil Engineer. Janan always enjoyed gardening but was especially fond of her successes with gardening in the rich California soils of their San Jose home. Other than gardening, Janan loved traveling by car with Walter exploring California and Nevada's old "ghost" and abandoned mining towns that was such a thrill beyond her imagination. Walter was progressively suffering from complications of diabetes and died in October 2014. Janan continued to reside in San Jose, CA until 2018 when due to health issues brought on by a stroke she moved to Carson City, NV to live with her youngest son, Tommy, and his family. To the last she was always vivacious, energetic, independent and dedicated to her extraordinary talents of gardening. Above all else and throughout her life she demonstrated an extraordinary devotion to her Christian faith in a way that reflected not just a good person but a wife and mother so loving and caring to her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Janan is survived by her son Rodney of Seligman, AZ, daughter Patricia of Las Vegas, NV, and youngest son Tommy of Carson City, NV.  She is also survived by her sister Jacqueline of Eufaula, OK,  and her brother Timothy of Las Vegas, NV.  If you wish to send flowers, please have them delivered to St. Margaret Mary's Catholic Church, Bullhead City, AZ, or in lieu of flowers, you may send a donation to St Jude, Shriners Hospital or Catholic Charities.
