Joan McConnell, age 81, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2020. She was born September 9, 1938 in Kingston, Tennessee to Frank Johnson and Viola Selvidge. Known to her friends as "Joanie" retired for Borg Warner Corp. in Bellwood Illinois before moving to Arizona where she enjoyed the natural beauty here and rock collecting. She was a hard working and frugal single mother. Joan is survived by her brother Homer Johnson and her sister Loretta Singleton ; Her daughters Glenda and Theresa Cunningham ; her grandchildren Sierra Parker, Brian Biagi and Dillon Haskell ; Her great grand children Azerica, Jasmine, Dominic and Willow. There will be a service held in honoring Joan McConnell on June 13th 2020 at Chloride Baptist Church.
