Joseph Byford entered our lords arms on April 11th in his home at the age of 87. Joseph is survived by his wife Elizabeth of Kingman, Arizona, his sons, Brett Byford of Jackson, New Jersey and Frances Schaeffler of Germany, his sister Mary Byford of Kingman, his grandsons, Justin and Jake Byford of Jackson, New Jersey and two great grandchildren, Lorraine and Noah Byford as well as his loving dog Tippi. Joseph was born on November 21, 1930 in Chelsea, Massachusetts to Cecil and Thelma Byford. He served in WWII and the Korean conflict with the 82nd and 187th RCT Airborne and 10th Special Forces Green Berets. Joseph was a longtime member of VFW 9691 in Howell, New Jersey and served as an officer with the Hawthorne Elks in Hawthorne, New Jersey. Joseph requested donations in lieu of flowers to the Pet Protection Program of Kingman.
