Judy Louise Ferrin-Kemper, 68, Meadview, AZ, passed away on Thursday September 22, 2016 at the Joan and Diana House. Judy was born on January 10, 1948 in Safford, AZ, to Cecil and Louise (Bell) Ferrin. Judy graduated high school in Phoenix, AZ, and then worked for Mountain Bell Telephone Company as a switchman. She was the first of twelve women hired to do a man's job. Judy worked for 35 years and retired in 2003. She married Kenneth Kemper on October 27, 1979 in Las Vegas, NV. Both retired in 2003, moving to Meadview, AZ. Together they enjoyed retirement, raising their dogs, camping along the Colorado River and Lake Powell. Family was Judy's priority and she enjoyed sharing their home with friends for dinner and drinks. She will truly be missed by those who love her. Judy is survived by her husband Kenneth; children Richard, Kimberly, Kelly and Lori; grandchildren Shauna, Mathew, April, Abbey and Ashley. She is preceded in death by her parents, four loving brothers and her precious great-grandson.
