LaVerne Howell "Verne" Woodard, 72, of Kingman, Az passed away on April 11th, 2019 at his home in Kingman, Az. He was born to Ralph and Catherine Woodard on February 23rd, 1947 in Aurora, IL. Verne was a graduate of West Aurora High School and went on to obtain his Bachelor's degree in Marketing from the University of Illinois. He was married to Jane Wachtel on January 28th, 1983. Verne worked for the General Motors Vehicle Accessory Center in Rancho Cucamonga, CA until his retirement in 2017. Verne's hobbies included working on cars and flying. He owned several aircraft during the course of his life and had obtained his Commercial Pilot's License. Verne is survived by his wife Jane Woodard; five children, Lane (Jennifer) Woodard, Chris (Hayley) Woodard, Spencer Woodard, Ty Woodard, and Yvette Plantenga; one grandson, Stanley Woodard; and his sister Karen (Dennis) Kahl. He also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, and nephews that he cared for dearly. Verne was preceded in death by his mother Catherine "Kaye" Woodard (2017) and his father Ralph Woodard (1986). A small gathering and spreading of Verne's remains will follow with the date and time to be determined. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Mohave Memorial Funeral and Cremation Services.
