Lonnie Gene Gould
of Clearlake Oaks (Spring Valley), CA born April 12, 1948 in San Diego, CA, passed away January 23, 2019 surrounded by loving family. He was the second of two boys born to Lane and Alice (Lorang) Gould.
Lonnie grew up in Quartz Hill, CA, where he lived until 2004 when he and his wife, Sharon, moved to Clearlake Oaks to take care of his father. Lonnie retired from his life long career with Rockwell International and Boeing. He used his engineering and mechanical skills to work on projects such as NASA's Space Shuttle, the Air Force's B1-B and NASA's X-37 programs.
Lonnie was very mechanically talented and could fix almost anything (without duct tape or superglue), even if it wasn't broken yet. In his younger years he enjoyed riding his motorcycles, camping, boating, fishing and water skiing. He always loved a good opportunity to go camping and fishing and faithfully spent time in places that he loved like the beach and Twin Lakes, CA. Fishing was his lifelong passion and he was rarely "out fished".
Lonnie was survived by his wife Sharon Gould (married April 1, 1995), brother Wayne Gould (Lynn), daughters Donna Gould, April Flynt (Todd), Tracy Hillhouse (John), Jolynn Pryor (Larry), the mother of his children Linda Bekker, Grandchildren Rashelle Dixon, Gerrad Theis, John Parzyk, Courtney Haney, Jacob Flynt, Caitlyn Payne, O'Ryan Hillhouse, Sarah Flynt and 5 great-grandchildren (Ellie, Katelyn, Colton, Lane and Decklan), nieces Shannon Shields, Heather Collins (John) and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents Lane and Alice Gould, and grandson James Keeler.
