In Loving Memory of Marissa Emily Johnson

Marissa "Rissa" Emily Johnson, 41, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025. Born in Midland, Michigan, on May 1, 1984, to Russell and Allana Johnson, Marissa was the first of six children. She spent her early years in Utah before moving with her family to Idaho and later settling in Arizona, where she built a beautiful life filled with love, family, and cherished memories.

Marissa was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, aunt, and friend. She made every holiday and birthday special, ensuring her loved ones felt cherished. Her passion for cooking and baking brought warmth to many gatherings, and she had an extraordinary gift for capturing the magic of everyday moments through photos and videos.  Family meant the world to her.

Rissa found joy in the outdoors—whether it was taking long walks while listening to music, embarking on adventures with family, or simply soaking up the sunshine in the backyard. She embraced the role of an aunt with endless love, treasuring every moment spent with her nieces and nephews. The love she had for her children was like nothing else in the world. Her deep compassion for animals showed in the way she cared for them, always going out of her way to offer them kindness.

Marissa is survived by her sons, Jacob, Zach, Westin; her daughter, Bailey; her father, Russell; her brothers, Justin and Kaden; her sister, Ciarra; and her nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother, Allana, her brother, Westley, and her sister, Brianna.

Marissa's love and kindness left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know her. She will be remembered for her selfless heart, her unwavering devotion to family, and the beautiful memories she created with those she loved.

Rest in peace, dear Marissa. You are deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
