Bob Mann, devoted son of Ethel and Lawrence Mann passed away August 19, 2018 in Lake Havasu City.
Born in Minnesota, his family moved west to California in December 1929.
Bob served honorably in the US Navy during the final years of WWII as a Fire Man 1ST Class from July 1944- June 1946. He was awarded the victory medal and discharged at the war's end to San Pedro, CA.
After his service, he worked for over 40 years as a mechanic and truck driver.
Bob was most at home behind the wheel of anything motorized. His ATV was his favorite mode during his past 25 years. He made many friends while enjoying this hobby and rode proudly with the Silver Bullets in Lake Havasu City.
A fascination with the history of the "Old-West" led him to explore it at every opportunity. Death Valley was a favorite destination. Upon retirement, Bob and his wife Jeanne moved from Southern California to Nevada City, California where they lived for 20 years. Harsh winters found them searching for warmer climes and they settled in Lake Havasu City where they built a new home in 2001.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, daughter, his wife of 50 years, and his eldest son.
Bob is survived by his youngest son and a step-daughter, 9 grandchildren and more than 25 great- grandchildren.
Bob was a loyal friend and generous to charities serving veterans and children.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to please make donations to your favorite charity.
