IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Timothy Lyn
Montgomery
April 5, 1964 – November 8, 2025
Tim Montgomery, 61, passed away unexpectedly on November 8, 2025. Born on April 5, 1964 and preceded in death by his parents Jim and Barbara Montgomery.
Tim is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Margie Montgomery and their son, Dillan Montgomery. He is also survived by sons, Timothy Montgomery and Steven (Bree) Montgomery, four grandchildren, and his brothers, Jim (Valerie) Montgomery and Mike (Cindy) Montgomery as well as several nephews, nieces and cousins.
Tim proudly served his country in the United States Army, an experience that remained one of his greatest honors. Tim loved coaching football for 30 years. He coached all his sons from their Pop Warner days through their high school years. As a dedicated coach for multiple schools, he inspired many young athletes and helped lead the RV Dust Devils football team to a state championship 2014 and the Spartans middle school team to their first ever championship this year—a legacy of perseverance and teamwork that will not be forgotten. Tim was an inaugural coach for the Desert Star Spartans middle school and most recently the Titans varsity team.
A beloved member of Desert Star Academy, Tim will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Known for his kindness, his ever-present smile, and his gentle yet steady presence, Tim touched the lives of countless children and families. Tim was a lifetime fan of the Dallas Cowboys as he and Margie traveled to several Cowboy / Bronco football games. He also loved camping, watching NASCAR and Sprint car races.
Desert Star Academy will not be the same without him. Tim’s warmth, patience, and encouragement will live on in the hearts of his scholars, colleagues, and loved ones. He will be missed beyond measure, especially by his family, who take comfort in knowing his spirit will always be with them.
A military graveside service will be held at Desert Lawn Cemetery in Mohave Valley on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at 10:00 am Arizona time...
